About the owner
My name is Eric Smith. I have always loved to work with my hands, and especially enjoyed helping people with building and renovation projects. This led to me getting my builder’s license in 1999 while still in college, and after graduating I began working on various construction projects and started a company building custom homes in Franklin, TN.
I began to think a lot about the negative stereotype of builders, plumbers, and other similar tradesmen: that they often do their work badly, giving a poor customer experience, and just want to get their paycheck. In these situations, the customer always suffers. One day, after I had recent experiences with bad employees, I walked into a Discount Tire, and watched a young hire run from the bathroom back to work, and I thought: “This is the drive and motivation I want in my employees. I want my company to break the stereotype.” During these years, I also had many experiences researching water heater companies and was surprised at how much they charge.
This all resulted in the formation of The Hot Water Heater Pros. Our goal is to give the best customer experience.
